Examples of our work

BioCity – We are managing two ERDF funded projects for BioCity Group – one at the Nottingham site and one at the BioHub at Alderley Park. In 2016 we undertook an independent evaluation of an earlier the ERDF project ‘Fit out of Incubation Facilities’.

International Association of Science Parks (IASP) – We undertook a detailed assessment of the performance of Gaziantep Technopark in Turkey, making a series of recommendations related to its strategic direction and operation. The study was used to inform the development of a ‘road map’ and business plan for the Technopark.

Loughborough University – We have undertaken a number of contracts for Loughborough including the recent evaluation of a suite of projects funded through the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account. We also undertook a pan-university review of enterprise education, and project managed Engineering YES – an enterprise programme for researchers.

University of Huddersfield – We undertook a qualitative evaluation of the Yorkshire regional Graduate Entrepreneurship Project that is part-funded by ERDF. The research involved organising and facilitating a regional evaluation day for university practitioners.

Enterprise Educators UK – We provide a full operational management service for this major national membership organisation. This includes responsibility for programme development and event management for their three day, 250 delegate, annual international conference.

Medilink East Midlands – We undertook three ERDF compliant evaluations for this client – the East Midlands Bioscience Business Germinator project in 2012, the East Midlands Healthcare and Bioscience Innovation Network phase two in 2013 and phase three of the same project in 2015.

East Midlands Incubation Network (EMIN) – We undertook an ERDF compliant evaluation of Enterprise Inc2, a student and graduate entrepreneurship project being delivered in partnership with six universities. We provided evidence of impact to date as well as an estimation of future economic impact that will be used to support funding applications.

D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership – in association with Medilink East Midlands, we undertook the research and consultation prior to writing the Life Sciences development strategy and skills action plan for the period 2014-23.

Department for International Development – in association with Plymouth University, Kate was a member of the Quality Assurance team for the Nigerian national ‘YouWiN!’ business plan competition. This involved three assignments in Lagos.

Sheffield Hallam University – We worked in association with Qa Research to undertake a strategic review of the University’s support for students and graduates who are interested in starting a business or becoming self-employed.

The Royal College of Art – We completed two strategic reviews for the College. Firstly we reviewed Innovation RCA’s ‘Selected Works’ commercialisation programme. We were then invited back to review ‘FuelRCA’ the College’s professional development programme for students and alumni.

Other clients include London South Bank University, University of Birmingham, the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education, Manchester Science Parks, Corridor Manchester, Enactus UK, the South East England Development Agency, NESTA, the National Trust and East Midlands Development Agency.
